Anita Ekberg

Anita Ekberg, a Swedish actress and actor who was in Sweden from the 1950s to 1970s, appeared in many European film as well as American films. Most famously, she is known for her work in the comedy-drama film "La Dolce Vita". It was a huge critical and commercial success, as well receiving an Oscar at Cannes Film Festival 1960. The film was made in Skane, Sweden, she did a stint as a model prior to her acting profession. In the end, she was crowned Miss Sweden contest. After her move to US she began acting in various films, acting in minor roles. In the film, 'Abbott and Costello go to Mars,' she received credit for her debut role as a Venusian. She soon won the Golden Globe award in the "Most Promising Newcomer," category following her appearance in the film 'Bloodalley'. Throughout her career, she was a part of many other films such as the war film by American Italian 'War and Peace', and the Western Film 'Valerie', the British adventure crime film 'The Man Within', and the French-Italian drama "The Dam in the Yellow River'.
